To: Me From: God Subject: RE:Connect

Teens Conference 2009. What an experience.

I did SMU for junior TC, so nothing too special there
other than that, I tried to lead a girls workshop.
LOL.

Epic phail.

But senior was... wow.
I had no idea what kind of expectations to enter with
except that God would move.

There really isn't much to say about it
other than it was a chance for me
to look a little deeper into myself
and really understand myself a little bit better.

The speaker did a sermon about how much we're worth
and that we're worth so much more than we think
to the point where the very nails in Jesus' hands
were worth our lives.

You really can't wrestle with that fact
because it is what it is.

And then he asked the question (in another sermon)
what are we doing with our lives?

That hit me hard.

and i sat there, on the stage, in front of about 550 people

crying my heart out

when i was supposed to be drumming.

And i soon realized why i was crying myself a flood.
What was i really doing with my life?
Do i really show who i am in christ?

And i was constantly reminded still how much i am
worth in God's eyes. through reminders from friends,
my all flowing thoughts
and God himself working in me and my peers.

Wow, guys, you are just amazing.
Having the chance to work with 6 amazing musicians
and 6 God-seeking hearts
has been a blessing to me
one that i will hopefully never forget.

"retrace the steps we took..."

But here's to the rest of life.
Teens Conference isn't about the two days of hype.
It's about taking what you learned and taking it
with you
wherever you go
everywhere.

It's all about the full circles.
Teens Conference 2009, let's go further
and i'll see you next year.
